Ahead of the FikaClip open beta, we've shipped a major feature update that goes well beyond the closed beta. Let's take a look at what's new.
2024-04-29 FikaClip Ver1.0 Update Log
💡
1. Editor Update
During the closed beta, we heard feedback that editing in the editor was too limited. Ahead of the open beta launch, we've given the editor a major overhaul.
You can now cut and delete clips directly on the video timeline.
The video preview is easier to see, and a new tab on the left lets you edit each element of your video separately.
2. Algorithm Update
We've significantly improved the algorithm that gathers diverse material from your source video and pinpoints the exact edit points.
Material diversity improved by more than 17%, and edit point extraction improved by more than 60%.
3. More Style Options
In the closed beta, you could only generate short-form videos by choosing a caption position and a caption and title preset. The open beta adds the short-form styles that are trending right now.
Captions and caption transition effects can be toggled on or off to match your preferred short-form style.
Added 3 of the most popular fonts for short-form videos.

Adjust the length of each automatically generated caption segment.
Position captions in the middle or at the bottom of the frame.

Added the ability to disable a caption and set that point as the start or end of the clip.
Titles can be toggled on or off.
