Hi, it's the FikaClip team! 🌞

In August, our updates centered on AI generation tools you can use right inside the editor and multilingual support for our global users.

You can now create the images, videos, sound effects, and background music you need mid-edit without leaving FikaClip — and Japanese, Portuguese, and Traditional Chinese speakers can use FikaClip in their native language.

Here's everything that's new, one by one!

🪄 1. 4 new AI generators — images, videos, sound effects, and background music

The asset library and Editor V4 now let you create source material directly with AI.

No image for your Short? Can't find the right sound effect? One line of prompt, and it's generated and ready to drop onto your timeline.

What's better

• 🖼️ AI image generation — choose your preferred resolution and model (OpenAI or Gemini)

• 🎥 AI video generation — turn an image into a short animated clip

• 🔊 Sound effects (SFX) generation · 🎵 Background music (BGM) generation — follow the step-by-step suggestion chips and your prompt writes itself

• ⏳ Keep editing while assets generate, with progress shown in the sidebar tab

• 📁 Generated assets are saved to your asset library automatically, and credits are refunded automatically if generation fails

👉 Try it from the Image, Video, and Audio tabs in the editor's left rail, or directly from the asset library. (Available on paid plans using credits.)

🌏 2. Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Traditional Chinese support

Following Korean and English, we've added Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Traditional Chinese — FikaClip is now available in 5 languages.

• 🖥️ Interface, notification emails, and legal documents are all available in each language

• 🗣️ Choose Japanese, Traditional Chinese, or Portuguese as the output language when generating short-form videos

• 🔤 New dedicated fonts and caption presets for Japanese and Traditional Chinese

• ⚙️ Interface language and email language can now be set separately

🔐 3. LINE login and redesigned login and sign-up screens

• 💚 Sign in quickly with your LINE account (for users in Japan and Taiwan)

• ✨ Login, sign-up, and email verification screens have a brand-new design

• 🔢 The verification code screen keeps your progress after a refresh, and we fixed an issue where Korean characters were entered incorrectly

🎨 4. Editor V4 editing experience improvements

We kept refining the editor we started polishing in Ver6.1, making it faster and more comfortable to use.

• 🗂️ The template panel is now split into Recommended and My Templates tabs, and hovering over a card plays a live preview

• 💾 Save the style you're currently editing as a template, exactly as is

• 🔍 Drag to pan when zoomed into the preview, plus a minimap in the bottom-left corner

• ✂️ The timeline auto-scrolls when you drag a trim handle to the edge

• ⏩ Type any playback speed between 0.1 and 3.0 (for example, 1.2x)

• 🖼️ Background styles moved to their own tab, and the AI editing panel now shows the actual credits each feature uses

• 🔄 Rotation, opacity, and blend mode on video elements are now preserved through save and render

• 🔡 Redesigned font picker with per-language filters

• 💬 Improved FikaChat panel design — and when an answer misses the mark, you can tell us why

⬆️ 5. More reliable video uploads

• 🚀 MP4s are optimized in your browser before upload, so processing starts the moment the upload finishes

• ⚠️ You'll get a warning if you try to close or refresh the tab mid-upload

• 🧪 Files with no video track are flagged right at upload

• 📦 Improved large-file upload handling that holds up better against connection drops

📤 6. Social Upload — edit or cancel scheduled posts per channel

Posts scheduled to multiple channels can now be edited or canceled one channel at a time. Want to change the time for just one channel, or drop it entirely? No need to recreate the whole post.

🛠️ 7. Small fixes and quality-of-life improvements

• 🔤 Fixed uploaded fonts not applying to titles and captions, and the font list not being reachable by scrolling

• ⌨️ Fixed Korean characters splitting apart when typing on macOS

• 🔈 Removed the "tick" sound at transition boundaries

• 🎨 Fixed caption highlight colors looking different in the editor versus the exported video

• 🖼️ Thumbnails now stay intact when you edit captions after creating them

• 💳 Fixed remaining credits and usage history on the Free plan disappearing at the monthly reset

• 🧩 Fixed long titles drifting to the right, and a false "not enough space" warning when there was room for captions
