Hi, this is FikaClip! 🍁

This update brings two big ones: Fika Agent is officially open — write one line and it makes a short for you — and you can now edit videos in the editor just by telling it what to change.

We also added Automation, which turns your new YouTube uploads into published shorts on its own, Hook Intro to grab viewers in the first seconds, a notification inbox that keeps track of your work, and a mobile experience rebuilt to fit your hand.

🤖 1. Fika Agent is here — make shorts from one line

No link or video needed. Write one line about the short you want, and Fika Agent handles planning, captions, and music for you.

• 🧭 Open it from the Fika Agent tile at the end of the dashboard feature tiles, or from the logo at the top of the sidebar

• 🔑 It uses your FikaClip account and credits, so there is nothing new to sign up for

• 🔁 Switch between FikaClip and Fika Agent anytime from the logo menu

⚙️ 2. Automation — upload to YouTube, and your shorts take care of themselves

A new Automation menu is in the sidebar. Connect your YouTube channel and the moment a new video goes up, FikaClip detects it, makes shorts, picks the best clips, and uploads them for you.

• 🎚️ Hand off as much as you like: Notify only · Drafts · Curate · Upload after approval · Fully automatic

• 🧩 Edit the steps after generation — classify, filter, review, metadata, upload, notify — as a list or on a node canvas

• 📚 Start from a template, and first-time onboarding walks you through building your first pipeline

• 🧪 Run a test to catch missing settings before it goes live

• 📤 Upload to every channel connected in Social Upload, with the highest-scoring clips scheduled first; you can also cap daily uploads

• 🧾 See credits used in the run history, and the estimated credits per run in the editor

• ⏸️ If you run low on credits, the pipeline pauses automatically and lets you know, then picks up again after you top up

💬 3. Edit with prompts (desktop & mobile)

In the Prompt tab at the top right of the editor, just ask — "make the captions bigger", "turn the title yellow" — and AI edits the video right away.

It now works on mobile too. When you open the editor on your phone, it goes straight to prompt editing.

• 📱 On mobile, the video sits on top and the chat below in a split view; collapse the video or go full screen whenever you need

• 💾 Every change is saved instantly, so closing the app never loses your work

• ↩️ Undo and redo buttons let you take back any edit you don't like

• 🎚️ For fine-tuning size, color, position, or playback speed, adjust cards let you dial it in yourself

• ✍️ The input box grows up to five lines so longer requests are easy to write

🪝 4. Hook Intro — open with a scene that grabs attention

Viewers decide whether to swipe in the first few seconds. Hook Intro finds a 2–4 second standout scene in your source video and puts it at the very start of your short.

Use it from the results page, the AI edit panel in the editor, or the timeline.

• 🔍 Candidate scenes are grouped by type — numbers and scale, conclusion first, curiosity, famous faces — and shown with a fit score

• ▶️ Preview a scene before adding it, swap it for another, or search again

• 🧹 You can remove it anytime after adding, so feel free to experiment

• 💎 Hook Intro is available on the Light plan and above

🔔 5. Notification inbox & download list

A bell button now sits in the top bar, so you never miss important updates — even while you work on another screen.

• 🎬 Get notified when a video finishes or fails, with a quick toast on screen

• 📤 Know when a Social Upload post is published or fails, or when a connected account gets disconnected

• ⏰ Heads-up 7 days before extra credits expire and 3 days before a video’s storage period ends

• 💳 Check when your extra credits expire right from the sidebar and the credit menu

• ⬇️ The download button is now the Download list, with a progress ring showing status

✨ 6. Additional prompt (beta)

Video generation options now include an Additional prompt field. If there is something you especially want to emphasize, write it down and AI will take it into account when picking scenes.

• 📝 For example: "focus on scenes showing how the product works" or "center on funny reactions"

• 🙆 It is optional — leave it blank and generation works as before

• 🧪 Since it is in beta, requests may not always be reflected perfectly. Available with AI auto cut

📱 7. Redesigned mobile screens

More and more creators use FikaClip on their phones, so we reworked the mobile experience from the ground up.

• 🧭 A cleaner top bar, menu drawer, and account menu

• 👇 Options and help now open in bottom sheets within easy thumb reach

• 🎛️ Dashboard generation settings plus the results, settings, guide, and sign-in screens are all tuned for mobile

🔐 8. Faster sign-in & new checkout

We simplified the screens you pass through most often, like sign-in and payment.

• ✉️ Request your verification code right on the sign-in screen

• 🕘 See which sign-in method you used last time, so there is no guessing

• 💳 Checkout has a new design and opens as a bottom sheet on mobile

• 🏷️ Discounts are shown as percentages so you can see the savings at a glance

🛠️ 9. Small improvements & bug fixes

• ⏳ You can now select a range all the way to the end of source videos longer than 4 hours

• ▶️ When connecting a YouTube channel, we now let you know that auto-uploaded videos do not have monetization turned on automatically, so you can enable it in YouTube Studio

• 🔗 Fixed "View post" after a TikTok upload linking to a video that does not exist

• 🔤 Fixed some caption fonts showing blank characters in Japanese and Traditional Chinese captions

• 🎵 Fixed default BGM and sound effect durations showing as 00:00 in the editor

• 🏷️ Fixed the results page sometimes treating paid users as being on the Free plan

• 📝 Fixed terms agreement getting blocked right after sign-up
